Cheeky Chompers - Amy Livingstone & Julie Wilson
These are two mums whose teething products were rejected by Dragons' Den when they had been trading for only 11 weeks. They have surpassed their targets and have sold more than 100,000 Neckerchews in the first 18 months.
Amy & Julie, two mumtrepreneurs who started Cheeky Chompers while they were on maternity leave with their first children. The Neckerchew was born after lots of catch ups with friends, where they witnessed countless dropped, dirty and lost teethers. Not to mention a gaggle of dribbling babies!
Sometimes the simplest ideas really are the best: if the teether won’t stay put, why not attach it to the baby?
Over nine months of long nights the mums put that little thought into action. They designed the bibs, sourced the best fabrics and materials, tested everything for safety and quality – and even found a brilliant manufacturer in the UK.
Triumph & Disaster – Dion Nash
The poem is advice from a father to his son on how to be a man. It is about humility, honour, risk and reward. More than two decades later when the seed of an idea for a range of grooming products was forming, it was values like these that Dion Nash had in mind. Values that would help mould a brand capable of reminding us that acts of ritual and preparation are worthy endeavours and that being well groomed is something of which to be proud.
So when a tattered old poem that his dad had given me years before was uncovered in the bottom of an old chest and I read the line, ‘if you can meet with Triumph & Disaster and treat those two imposters just the same’, well, the deal was done and the brand was born.
Triumph & Disaster's philosophy is to use the best of science combined with the best of nature to produce naturally derived but scientifically engineered products that work. They believe that the future of sustainable business is a path of integrity and honesty and that customers deserve at least this much from the brands they support.
Keep Resin – Alice Keep
Keep Resin is the creation of Mornington Peninsula based artist and designer, Alice Keep on her kitchen table three years ago had the desire to create affordable and contemporary hand crafted resin jewellery and homewares. Alice loves the organic nature of the material which can be moulded into any shape imaginable. The designs are fresh and striking, celebrating vibrant colour and simplicity in form allowing for complimentary pieces to mix and match.
Keep Resin initially started with Alice and her sister Mili, as a hobby selling at local markets and then it organically grew into something bigger. Alice left her degree at Uni in pursuit for her love of this new business and has not regretted a second since.
The hand crafted nature of the products, from the initial design through to the final stages of sanding, ensure that each piece is unique and that no two items will be exactly the same.
Robert Gordon – 3 Generations
Thirty years ago, Robert ‘Andy’ Gordon walked into a ten by eight foot tin shed, picked up a lump of clay and turned his potter’s wheel. The Pack Track Pottery was born. But the story and inspiration for Robert Gordon dates long before 1979 and a rickety homemade studio.
By 1987 it was time for the company to expand. A factory in Pakenham was bought and Robert Gordon had grown from a tin shed with a dirt floor to a large purpose built headquarters. It was also the time to bring new staff into the business. Andy and Barbara didn’t have to look far, their four children Hannah, Kate, Bobby and Sam all joined the business.
A love of pottery has been handed down from June Dyson to Robert and his four children. The family has been immersed in the world of ceramics for over sixty years. This is a story unlike any other pottery in Australia. Robert Gordon. Proud of its past, its future fired with imagination.

ChamonixRain Organics – Michelle Williamson
Michelle Williamson is the founder and Creative Director of ChamonixRain Organics for her, ChamonixRain Organics is not just a brand but a passion and way of life. She built this brand out of love and respect for nature and all the benefits it can provide each of us.
Michelle grew up in a house where her mother made her own skincare and grandparents who grew their own organic fruit and vegetables, so a natural organic lifestyle has always been something that she has been educated and exposed to throughout her childhood; inspiring the organic, healthy lifestyle she now leads.
After having both her children, like all parents she only wanted the very best for them - which in her opinion was organically grown bamboo baby products & natural skincare. Unhappy with the current selection on the market both in Australia and in her travels overseas, she decided to design and develop her own range of products and so ChamonixRain Organics was born.
So for her, what began as a passion and lifestyle choice - has now grown into a beautiful range of 12 natural and organically grown products which is being used and worn by adults and babies from 14 countries around the world and is now being stocked in 20+ stores nationwide and growing by the week.
